About me

Dr. Erin Sparapani is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in providing evidence-based psychotherapies for both adults and adolescents. For the past 15 years, she has specialized in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), having received direct training from Dr. Marsha Linehan during her postdoctoral fellowship. While working alongside Drs. Alec Miller and Lata McGinn at Cognitive Behavioral Consultants, Dr. Sparapani led SAGE, their intensive DBT-based program for young adults.

In addition to her deep expertise in DBT with individuals and families, Dr. Sparapani brings a broad background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, substance use, eating disorders, and more. She also has specialized experience working with neurodivergent teens and young adults, including those on the autism spectrum.

Dr. Sparapani is certified in Prolonged Exposure therapy for PTSD and has advanced training in Cognitive Processing Therapy. Her clinical work is rooted in a trauma-informed perspective, allowing her to support individuals with sensitivity—even if formal trauma-focused treatment is not the immediate focus.

Beyond individual therapy, Dr. Sparapani enjoys working with couples and families, offering support through a variety of relational challenges. She has experience helping high-conflict couples, families navigating complex dynamics, and those facing issues related to borderline personality disorder.

Whether you're seeking individual, couples, or family therapy, Dr. Sparapani brings a thoughtful, flexible approach tailored to your unique goals. Her work is grounded in helping clients build lasting tools for emotional resilience, increase self-understanding, and cultivate greater confidence, self-acceptance, and compassion.
